Behind the pharmacy table in Mexico

In December 2025, students from Wayne State, Michigan State, and Oakland staffed intake and pharmacy at year-end community clinics, serving 231 patients.

Gift of Health missions put pre-health students inside working clinics. On the December 2025 mission to Mexico, a three-campus Michigan team handled registration, vitals, and the pharmacy table, filling prescriptions written by the physicians on site.

Students on mission teams carry real responsibility: registration lines, medication counts, and the logistics that keep a pop-up clinic moving through a full day of patients.
